    Standing Seam Lock Roof Machines

    A lock roof is a panel mill plus, on mechanical seam, a seamer and clips. Snap-lock and mechanical lock are different packages. KR18, slide, and the 0.8–1.2 mm wiki host each keep their own ratings.

    1. Lock is a system, not one motor

    Searchers write lock roof machine for the mill that rolls standing-seam legs. On a mechanical-seam roof the mill is only the first crate. Clips fasten to the deck; a seamer (electric or tongs) folds the legs together. Snap-lock / clip-lock panels that click without a seamer are a different roll path.

    YX65-430 / mother-of-pearl is another standing-seam family with its own two ratings. Those speeds stay off the 25 m/min host and off the 8 m/min slide mill.

    4. What closes the seam on the roof

    An electric seam closer in this catalogue is specified for already-formed legs: seam height 50.8 mm (2″), must sew single lock and double lock (board: 90° single, 180° double). Coverage on that board about 12″–24″. Related packages often list ~2.4 kW / 220 V / ≤0.8 mm — confirm on the seamer you buy.

    KR18 ships an electric seamer plus three manual tongs as accessories of that host. Tongs are not a mill.

    Fixed clips on one order are parts, not a forming machine: Aluzinc 1 mm, height ~38 mm, 76.2 mm (3″) mark, qty 10,000, with tongs in the kit. Clip roll forming would be a different process.

    Is the seamer included in a lock roof machine?

    Only if the quotation lists it. KR18 in this catalogue includes one electric seamer and three tongs. The 2″ closer quotation is a finish tool, not a roll former.

    Can I run KR18 numbers on the 0.8–1.2 mm wiki host?

    No. KR18 is 0.4–0.8 mm and 10–13 m/min. The wiki standing-seam host is 0.8–1.2 mm and ~25 m/min.

    Does 7.5 kW on the slide mill match a wall-panel mill?

    Same integer, different machines. Slide is 20-pass 0.5 mm at ~8 m/min. A wall-panel mill is a different quotation.

    Family-typical seamer kW is labeled as family. Commercial terms come back on the offer.
