Ridge Cap and Ridge Tile Roll Forming Machines

    1August 28, 2026
312 ridge-cap line: passive decoiler, ~8–12 m/min, main ~3 kW, ~11 rollers, ø60. Ridge-punch is a separate line. Glazed tile speeds and multi-out ridge quotes without full specifications need their own quotation.
Keywords: ridge cap machine · ridge tile roll forming · 312 ridge cap · roof ridge forming

    1. What a ridge-cap mill finishes

A ridge cap (ridge tile) covers the roof apex where two slopes meet. The mill forms a short, often angled or corrugated covering profile from light-gauge coil — not the main trapezoidal roof sheet. Buyers also search “312 ridge cap” and “roof ridge forming” for the same inquiry class.

This page documents the 312 ridge quotation. Ridge-punch lines, glazed step-tile working speeds and multi-out (3-out) ridge quotes without full parameters are separate machines or need their own quotation.

    2. 312 process chain

    Documented flow:

    1. Uncoiler
    2. Feed
    3. Roll form
    4. Cut
    5. Table

The decoiler on that quotation is passive — pulled by the mill, not a powered decoil drive of its own class. Decoiler capacity on the quotation: ~5000 kg; width ~1250 mm; ID ~450–550 mm.

    3. 312 ridge — named build

    ItemOn the 312 quotation
    Line speed~8–12 m/min
    Main drive~3 kW
    Envelope~6200 × 1100 × 1500 mm
    Mass~3200 kg
    Rollers / shaft~11 rollers; shaft ø60 (45 steel); rollers chrome-plated 45 steel
    Drive / frameChain drive; 350 H frame
    Power supply380 V / 50 Hz / 3φ
Hydraulic cut~3 kW; hydraulic oil VG46

    4. Coil and thickness on 312

    • Thickness: ~0.3–0.5 mm
    • Materials: PPGI / GI / Al
    • Hardness class on that quotation: ~245–350 MPa

These bands belong to the 312 ridge quotation. They do not carry onto a ridge-punch line or a glazed tile mill.

    5. Not the ridge-punch line

A ridge-punch configuration is a separate machine. Side evidence from that line (not 312):

    ItemRidge-punch line (separate)
    Servo~5.5 kW
    Hydraulic~11 kW
    Passes12
    Shaftø70
    Thickness~0.4–0.6 mm
    Speed~15 m/min

Punch servo/hyd numbers stay separate from the 312 main ~3 kW / hyd cut ~3 kW package.

    6. Out of scope

    • Glazed step tile working ~2–3 m/min — side evidence only; not a 312 ridge speed.
    • Trapezoidal roof main line — forms the roof sheet, not the ridge cap accessory mill.
    • Multi-out (3-out) ridge quotes without full parameters — need a complete quotation; the 312 kW does not transfer to that quote.

    7. Send the ridge drawing

    1. Finished ridge section (angle, corrugation, cover width)
    2. Thickness and material (PPGI / GI / Al) inside or outside the 0.3–0.5 mm 312 band
    3. Whether punch / emboss is required (triggers the separate ridge-punch line)
    4. Cut length and stacking
    5. Site power: 380 V / 50 Hz / 3φ if matching 312, or state the plant standard
    6. Whether multi-out (3-out) is required — only with a full-parameter quotation

    8. Buyer FAQ

Is a ridge-cap mill the same as a trapezoidal roof mill?

No. Trapezoidal is the main roof sheet line. Ridge cap is a separate accessory profile.

Can I use glazed tile 2–3 m/min as the 312 ridge speed?

No. Glazed step-tile ~2–3 m/min is side evidence. 312 ridge is ~8–12 m/min on that quotation.

Is ridge-punch just 312 with a punch station added?

    No. Punch uses a separate line (servo ~5.5, hyd ~11, 12 passes, ø70, ~0.4–0.6 mm, ~15 m/min) — not the 312 main ~3 kW build.

    What about multi-out (3-out) ridge?

Needs a full-parameter quotation — the 312 kW does not transfer to an incomplete multi-out quote.

Process, decoiler, kW, envelope, rollers, shaft, thickness and hardness above come from the 312 quotation. Ridge-punch figures are a separate line.
