Ceiling Furring and C47 Channel Roll Forming Lines

    1August 28, 2026
Ceiling C47, high-speed C furs, hat furr and omega (Ω63 / Ω100) sit in the light-gauge ceiling keel family. Structural hat/sigma PEB is a different fork. Each named build keeps its own ratings.
Keywords: C47 furring machine · ceiling furring channel · C furs roll forming · omega light keel

    1. Ceiling keel family

Ceiling work uses light-gauge C furring, hat furr channel and omega (Ω) keels. They share a light-gauge ceiling family: φ40-style shafts on many rows, host power in a few kilowatts — not PEB purlin hosts.

“Hat purlin” and “omega purlin” searches often land on structural pages, but ceiling furring is a different family. This page covers the ceiling fork. Structural hat / sigma for PEB stays on the hat-purlin page, not here.

    2. C47 recommend build

    On the C47 recommend quotation:

    ItemOn that C47 recommend quote
    Speed~15–20 m/min
    Host~4 kW
    Stands / shaft~14 stands; φ40
    Thickness~0.4–0.6 mm

C47 is the common ceiling furring channel inquiry. High-speed C-furs kW and PEB hat numbers stay on their own rows.

    3. High-speed C furs

High-speed C furs is a separate speed tier in the same ceiling family:

    ItemOn that high-speed C-furs quotation
    Speed~0–35 m/min
    Host / hyd / totalHost ~5.5 kW + hyd ~4 kW; total ~10 kW

Use this row only when the offer is labeled high-speed C furs. It is not the default C47 recommend mill with a recipe change.

    4. Hat furr and omega keels

    BuildOn that quotationNotes
    Hat furr channel~10 stands; φ40; envelope ~3800 × 800 × 1400 mmThickness often ~0.4–0.7 mm
    Ω63~10 stands / ~3 kWCeiling omega — separate row
Ω100~12 standsCeiling omega — separate row from Ω63

Hat furr and omega sit in the same ceiling keel family as C47 / C furs. They are not the 22 kW solar strut or PEB structural hat lines on the hat-purlin encyclopedia.

    5. Structural hat / PEB fork

If the drawing is a structural hat or sigma purlin for PEB roof or wall, you are on a different family. Thickness, stands and host leave the light-gauge ceiling band. Use the Hat Purlin Machines wiki — do not order a C47 ceiling mill for that duty.

    6. Neighbor: 65C wall stud

65C wall stud is a different mill (~10 stands, ~3 kW, ~0.4–0.8 mm). Close in gauge to furring, different roll path — quote from the stud drawing, not from C47.

    7. Send the keel drawing

    1. Profile: C47 / C furs / hat furr / Ω63 / Ω100 (name the build)
    2. Finished section dimensions
    3. Thickness and grade within the named band (C47 ~0.4–0.6; hat furr often ~0.4–0.7)
    4. Whether high-speed C furs (~0–35 m/min, ~5.5 + 4 kW) is required
    5. Cut type and run-out / stack needs
    6. Site power (ceiling hosts are low-kW; still confirm voltage)
    7. If the job is PEB structural hat/sigma — say so and use the hat-purlin page for that duty

    8. Buyer FAQ

Is C47 the same as high-speed C furs?

    No. C47 recommend is ~15–20 m/min and ~4 kW host. High-speed C furs is ~0–35 m/min with host ~5.5 + hyd ~4 (total ~10 kW).

Can a ceiling hat furr mill run PEB hat purlin?

No. Ceiling hat/omega stay in the light-gauge ceiling family. Structural hat/sigma PEB belongs on the hat-purlin page.

    Are Ω63 and Ω100 interchangeable?

    No. Ω63 is ~10 stands / ~3 kW; Ω100 is ~12 stands. Separate rows.

Is 65C wall stud part of this line?

Neighbor only: different mill (~10 stands, ~3 kW, ~0.4–0.8 mm). One stud path does not become C47 by renaming the HMI.

Speeds, kW, stands, shaft and thickness above come from the named C47, high-speed C-furs, hat furr or omega quotation.
