Standing Seam Roofing Project Solution
A standing-seam project is a shop mill that forms lock legs, plus an on-roof seamer (and often clips). Confirm lock coverage, seam height and mill class (floor-type, slide or portable) before you add curving.

Clips
Clips are a parts line
Buy formed clips or a clip mill. They are a separate quotation from the panel host.
How to choose a line
- Floor-type standing seam, 0.4–0.8 mm, seamer in the crate -> KR18-class mill (example below)
- Auto-slide / width-adjust mill, hyd notch and cut-bend -> slide standing-seam quotation (0.5 mm, 20 passes, about 8 m/min, 7.5 kW on that quotation)
- Jobsite portable former -> portable standing-seam quotation (coverage 245–625 mm on that board)
- Exposed-fastener trapezoid or glazed tile -> metal roofing solution, a different family
- KR700-class wall panel -> wall quotation (about 15 m/min, 7.5 kW, 28 stands on that quotation)

Only the quotation decides whether the closer ships with the mill.

A 28-stand wall mill is a wall quotation, even when the mill is sold under a standing-seam name.

Is the seamer always in the mill price?
Only when the quotation lists it. The KR18 example includes one electric seamer and three tongs.
Can one speed cover KR18 and a slide mill?
Each host uses the numbers on its quotation. KR18 is 10–13 m/min; the slide example is about 8 m/min.
