1. Selection principle
Select by the part you produce, not by a generic “pallet rack machine” label. Uprights, beams, and braces are different soft models. Shelf panels belong to another equipment family. Industry racking-system overviews list the same split: upright frames, beams, braces, and other members as separate roll-formed outputs.
2. Quick selection paths
| If you need… | Choose | What to name on the inquiry |
|---|
| Column posts with connector slots | Rack upright line | Upright drawing + punch map; option / market tier if known |
| Horizontal load beams | Rack beam line | C-beam vs box / clinched beam; section and thickness |
| Frame bracing members | Rack brace roll forming line | Brace drawing; expect proposal confirmation for machine ratings |
| Shelf decks / box / back panels | Shelf panel family (not this structural trio) | Panel type + width / hole pattern — separate proposal |
3. Why these paths are not interchangeable
- Uprights — punch-before-form on thicker structural strip; option tiers differ in speed and power.
- Beams — open C or closed box with optional clinching stage; clinching is a configuration variant, not a new line ID.
- Braces — lighter bracing sections; public FAQ blocks inventing speed/power until proposal confirmation.
- Panels — deck geometry and punch maps sit outside upright/beam/brace soft models.
4. Confirm separately
- Do not merge upright and beam thickness bands into one “rack” answer
- Do not fill brace gaps with upright or beam numbers
- Connector-plate punch/fold accessories and shelf panels are not the upright host
- Price, lead time, and warranty stay in commercial discussion
5. Buyer FAQ
We need a full rack plant — start where?
List parts: uprights, beams, braces, panels. Map each part to its line family, then request proposals per host.
C-beam vs box beam — two machines?
Often one beam soft model with a clinching / closing stage as a configuration variant. Name the finished beam type so the proposal includes the right stages.
Brace line without published kW — can we still order?
Yes, after a dedicated brace proposal.
6. Inquiry checklist
- Finished profile drawing or sample section with critical dimensions
- Material grade, thickness range, and coating
- Target output class (m/min or pieces/hour) and cut-length range
- Punching map / shear preference when applicable
- Voltage / frequency and any PLC or HMI brand preferences
- Named soft-model / quotation tier — do not merge sibling parameter files
Final ratings follow the named proposal. Price and lead time are out of scope.
