Sandwich Panel Line Footprint and Double-Belt Length Notes

1. Definition

Sandwich panel lines are long continuous systems, not single-box roll formers. Footprint here means the minimum hall length × width (and height gate) needed to install decoilers, forming, foaming or glue stations, curing / lamination, cut-off, and exit conveyors.

PU continuous and PU-edged rockwool references publish different layout minima. Always match the layout drawing to the chosen configuration.

2. Plant planning uses

• Check building length / bay spacing before ordering a 24 m-class double belt.
• Reserve height for crane, chemical tanks, and operator platforms.
• Allow aisles for coil storage, foam chemical area, and finished panel exit.
• Confirm utility drops (power, compressed air, heating) along the line axis.

Applications. Early feasibility for new factories or line relocation when the buyer asks “how long is the plant?” before a full general arrangement drawing exists.

4. Boundaries

• Do not quote PU 90×20 m for a PU-edged rockwool RFQ that uses 80×10 m.
• Do not treat “double belt 24 m” as the entire plant length — it is the curing section only.
• Belt hard-foam variant footprint: confirm on that proposal; do not invent from the 90×20 sheet.
• Coil yard, chemical room, and packing are outside the bare machine envelope.

Is 24 m the full factory length?

No. About 24 m is the double-belt curing machine length on the PU continuous reference. Minimum plant footprint on that sheet is about 90×20 m.

Can I use the rockwool 80×10 m hall for a PU foam line?

Not as a default. PU continuous reference asks for about 90×20 m and height over about 6 m. Run a layout check on the chosen BOM.

Where does glue-line 40×2.5×2.8 m fit?

That envelope belongs to the glue-configuration quotation family — not the PU double-belt hall minimum.

What else should the layout drawing include?
