    1. Definition

A rockwool / EPS composite panel line produces insulated sandwich panels with rockwool or EPS cores. Inside this family, PU-edge continuous and glue composite are configurations — not two unrelated catalog names that may silently share one speed/power table.

A PU full-core continuous foaming line (polyurethane fills the entire core) remains a different machine class.

    2. Process and applications

    2.1 Typical PU-edge continuous path

    1. Uncoiling, front shear, film, rib rolling
    2. Upper and lower roll forming
    3. Rockwool conveying and adhesive spray
    4. PU edge foaming (low-pressure foaming machine on the scheme)
    5. Roll laminator curing
    6. Side chain, flying saw, and product support

    2.2 Glue configuration path

Uncoiling → top-sheet roll forming → glue spray / infrared heating with bottom sheet and core boards (often manual feed) → flying saw → product tables. See the dedicated glue-configuration page for that tier’s numbers.

Applications. Roof and wall panels that need mineral-wool or EPS cores; PU-edge when sealed edges and continuous rockwool feed are required. Fire / insulation performance follows contract tests.

    3. Reference parameters by configuration (do not mix rows)

3.1 PU-edge continuous (recommended Chinese technical scheme)

    ItemDocumented reference
    Normal / max speedNormal about 3–5 m/min; design max about 8 m/min
Whole-line powerAbout 90 kW class (subunit motors may be ~10 kW class — cite config table)
Skin / core / width / lengthSkin about 0.4–0.6 mm; core about 50–100 mm; effective width about 1000 mm; length about 3000–15000 mm
CoilMax about 5 t; width max about 1250 mm; ID about ø508
Edge foam noteRigid foam density about 45±5 kg/m³; foam pressure max about 0.3 kg/cm² (units per contract drawing)
    FootprintMinimum about 80 m × 10 m or larger; roll laminator about 10 m; operation height about 1200 mm
SupplyAbout 380 V × 50 Hz; PLC brand not locked on the scheme

3.2 Glue composite (same family — separate ratings)

    ItemDocumented reference
    Composite speedAbout 5 m/min (short-table alternate about 0–4 m/min)
Total powerAbout 50 kW class (short-table alternate about 28 kW)
Panel thicknessAbout 50–250 mm per requirement
Core feedEPS or rockwool boards — often manual

    4. Boundaries

    • PU full-core continuous foaming — Best about 4 m/min; installed about 40 kW (+ optional heat about 90 kW). Do not paste those figures into this composite answer.
    • Belt hard-foam PU variant — About 2–6 m/min; ≥35 kW. Different PU configuration.
    • Do not use glue ~50 kW as a silent substitute for PU-edge ~90 kW (or the reverse).
    • Do not copy pure PU / EPS glue BOMs onto a PU-edge equipment list without re-checking units.

    5. Buyer FAQ

Are PU-edge and glue two unrelated machines?

They are configurations of the same rockwool/EPS composite family. Still use separate speed/power tables.

Is this the same as a full PU foam continuous line?

No. Here the core is rockwool or EPS board; PU is used for edge sealing (PU-edge) or not at all (glue).

What speed and power should I quote for PU-edge?

Normal about 3–5 m/min; design max about 8 m/min; whole-line about 90 kW class — not a single subunit motor alone.

    Where are glue 5 m/min / 50 kW details?

On the dedicated glue-configuration encyclopedia page. Do not average them with the PU-edge row above.

Final ratings follow the confirmed configuration proposal. Price and lead time are out of scope.
