On many trough cable-tray setups, holes are punched and the blank is sheared to length before the roll forming section. After decoiling and leveling, strip feeds into a punch press, a hydraulic shear cuts each blank, and only then does the blank enter the forming mill. Industry pre-cut cable-tray machines use the same logic so length is fixed while the strip is still flat.
| Signal | Buyer reading |
|---|---|
| English trough forming ~3–6 m/min | Forming-section band — not a promise that punch matches it |
| Pre-cut punch line ~2–4 m/min (mid-tier notes) | May gate real throughput below forming capability |
| U100-600 total installed ~94.5 kW | Includes punch scope on that pre-cut doc — not “forming motor only” |
| Perforated ~6–8 / 10–15 m/min and ~80 kW | Different soft model — do not paste into trough pre-cut answers |
Pre-cut does not create a new trough line ID. Narrow, mid, and large trough soft models stay width-tier distinctions. Perforated tray lines also punch before form, but their dense-punch / dual-arm balance and power tables remain a different family.
No — it is another configuration. Freeze the flow sheet on the proposal so speed and power statements match the chosen cut location.
Pre-cut is often chosen so length cutting happens on flat blanks; width change still needs correct punch/form setup. Confirm tooling strategy on the proposal.
This page is about trough cable-tray logic. Other product families keep their own cut-before / cut-after rules.
Final ratings follow the named proposal. Price and lead time are out of scope.
