1. Definition
Buyers often treat every “floor deck machine” as one SKU. In practice, effective-width deck lines, closed deck lines, and open deck profile references follow different quoting paths. Industry guides likewise separate open, closed (dovetail), and related deck geometries before discussing stations or speed — the same discipline applies here.
None of these paths is a roof sheet / roofing-tile line. Start from the finished deck drawing (coverage width, rib geometry, open vs closed), then match the equipment family.
2. Three quoting families
| Family | Main output | What it is not |
|---|
| Effective-width floor deck line | Composite / floor deck panels at a chosen coverage (about 609, 630, 678, 688, 720, 834, 914 mm and similar) | Not a closed deck line; not an open profile-only reference; not roof sheet |
| Closed floor deck line | Closed-type deck panels (common reference about 600 mm effective coverage) | Not an open deck line; not a 609–914 mm width-tier substitute |
| Open deck profile reference | Geometry knowledge for open shapes such as YX51-305-915 | Not a full machine quotation by itself |
3. What differs by family
- Roll tooling — open ribs, closed/dovetail ribs, and each coverage width need their own forming path.
- Pass count and feed width — documented differently by width tier (for example about 24 passes on a 630 mm reference vs about 28 on 914 mm; about 30 on a closed 600 mm reference).
- Speed wording — some width tiers show Chinese about 8–10 m/min and English about 8–12 m/min side by side; publish both when both appear, then lock the proposal.
- Evidence depth — open YX51-305-915 sources may cover profile geometry only; machine speed/power stay proposal-gated until a line quote exists.
4. What not to merge
- Do not copy roof sheet speed or power onto a floor deck answer.
- Do not treat ~915 mm open profile knowledge as automatic proof of a 914 mm effective-width machine rating.
- Do not assume changing coverage is a spacer tweak alone — it usually means different rolls and often different pass/feed figures.
- Do not invent a single public envelope / mass for every deck width.
5. Applications
- Composite floor construction where deck panels act with poured concrete
- Projects that specify open, closed, or re-entrant deck geometry by drawing
- Buyer selection before locking a width-tier or closed-600 machine proposal
6. Inquiry checklist
- Coverage width and rib height / pitch
- Open vs closed (or re-entrant) geometry
- Material thickness and grade
- Whether machine-side evidence exists or only a profile reference
7. Buyer FAQ
Which family do I inquire first?
Send the deck profile name or drawing: coverage width, rib height/pitch, and open vs closed. Then ask for that family’s technical proposal.
Can one parameter table serve all deck widths?
No. Width tiers share a product family concept but keep separate tooling and documented pass/feed figures.
Is open profile documentation enough to buy a machine?
Not by itself. Geometry references do not replace a confirmed forming-line proposal where machine-side evidence is incomplete.
Is a floor deck line a roof sheet machine?
No. Roof-sheet / IBR / trapezoid roof parameters belong on roofing entries.
Ratings follow the confirmed technical proposal. Commercial quotes and lead time are out of scope.
