    1. Definition

Push-square (round-to-square / Turk-head style) forms and HF-welds a round tube first, then reshapes it with a passive push-square / multi-roll Turk head into square or rectangular hollow section before flying-saw cut-off.

This page locks the square / rectangular rating tables. It is not direct-form square (DFT) and not the round-only HG76 recommended sheet. Round OD speed / power live on the ERW-ROUND entry — do not paste them here.

    2. Reference configuration (114 push-square)

    ItemReference
SpeedAbout 50–80 m/min (series selection tables may show other bands — do not merge)
    Drive / HF / installedMain ~160 + 200 kW (AC/DC options); HF ~400 kW; installed ~940 kW — size-dependent
Square / wall / width~40×40–90×90 mm (and matching rectangles); wall ~2.0–4.5 mm; strip ~160–360 mm

Larger 165 / 219 push-square and HG32/50/76/127 selection-table rows are series variants — not this 114 unique truth. Do not treat 940 kW as universal across every square quote.

    3. Stations in order

    1. Decoiler and shear welding
    2. Accumulator
    3. Forming and HF welding
    4. Burr removal, cooling, rough sizing
    5. Push-square sizing
    6. Flying saw, run-out, bundling

    4. Why push-square

Documented advantages of passive push-square include lower surface scratching vs aggressive driven squaring, more stable diagonal control vs crude “round then mash,” and tooling flexibility across a size band. Direct-form square is a different investment story — see the round-vs-push-square Q page.

    5. Inquiry checklist

    • Square / rectangular size band and wall thickness
    • Whether round output is also required on the same mill
    • Push-square vs DFT preference
    • Named size class (114 vs larger siblings)
    • Voltage / frequency and packing needs

    6. Buyer FAQ

    Same ratings as round HG76?

    No. Round cites ~30–80 / 60–90 m/min and ~560 kW class. This 114 push-square sheet uses ~50–80 m/min and ~940 kW — keep tables separate.

    Is this direct-form square?

No. Push-square welds round first, then Turk-head reshapes. DFT is a third family.

Can I reuse round HF ~250 kW here?

No. The 114 push-square reference cites HF about 400 kW class — confirm on the named proposal.

    Are 40×40–90×90 universal?

No. That is the 114 reference band. Larger series rows differ — name the size class.

Final ratings follow the named push-square proposal. Price and lead time are out of scope.
