    1. Definition

A cut-to-length (CTL) line decoils strip, levels it, and shears flat sheets to programmed length. English names include cut-to-length line, leveling and shearing line, and blanking / sheet CTL. It is not a longitudinal slitting line and not a combined slit+CTL (ZHJ) host unless that combo is explicitly ordered.

Public documentation groups several reference tiers: simple flat CTL, simple 0.5–1 class, JPX-3×1500 / JPX-6×1600 / JPX-10×1600 hydraulic lines, and a 30T CNC medium-sheet class. Match the named tier; do not average figures across tiers.

    2. Process and applications

    Typical CTL process wording:

    1. Uncoiling (often with coil car on larger lines)
    2. Leveling / flattening
    3. Feed measurement
    4. Hydraulic shear (or configured shear type)
    5. Stacking / discharge

Applications. Service centers and sheet plants producing leveled blanks for fabrication, roofing blank prep, appliance panels, and general flat-sheet inventory. JPX hydraulic lines add coil-car feeding and automatic stacking on many quotes; simple lines may use manual decoilers and basic exit tables.

    3. Reference parameters (keep tiers separate)

    TierThickness / widthSpeed / levelerCoil / notes
Simple flat CTLPoint values 3 mm × 1500 mm (do not invent a range)About 0–15 m/min; leveler about 7.5 kW; hydraulic about 5.5 kWDecoiler capacity conflict 5 t vs 10 t — confirm in proposal
Simple 0.5–1 classMachine section about 0.5–1.0 mm; input about 1250 mmAbout 16 m/min; main about 11 kW; hydraulic shear about 5.5 kWMay note slitting blades as auxiliary — still CTL class
JPX-3×1500About 0.5–3 mm; width about 500–1500 mmUp to about 30 m/min; leveler about 55 kW; 19 rolls φ65; length accuracy about ±1.5 mmCoil up to about 6 t; material note: aluminum on reference doc
JPX-6×1600About 1–6 mm; width about 1600 mm (guide about 500–1600)Up to about 30 m/min; leveler drive about 55 kW DC; 13 rolls φ125Coil up to about 30 t
JPX-10×1600About 3–10 mm heavy plate class; width about 800–1600 mmUp to about 20 m/min; leveler about 110 kW DC; rolls about φ180Coil up to about 30 t
30T CNCAbout 1.0–5.0 mm; width about 750–2000 mmAbout 3–15 m/min; leveler main about 45 kWCoil about 30 T; shear max about 6.0 mm vs line 5.0 mm — resolve in contract

    4. Boundaries (related machines)

    • Pure slitter — Longitudinal knives + recoiler; not primary sheet stacking.
    • ZHJ combined slit + CTL — Integrated host with mode change; separate encyclopedia family.
    • Emboss ZHJ — Adds emboss station; more conservative thickness/speed than standard ZHJ.
    • Flying-shear blanking lines — Other product types; do not assume flying shear on these CTL FAQs.
    • Roll-former line speed — Sandwich or roof former m/min is not CTL line speed.

    5. Inquiry checklist

    • Material grade, thickness band, finished sheet length, and coil weight
    • Named tier (simple / JPX-3 / JPX-6 / JPX-10 / 30T CNC) — do not mix
    • Whether coil car, auto stacker, and length accuracy class are required
    • Whether any auxiliary slit knives are optional only (still CTL class)

    6. Buyer FAQ

    Can I treat JPX-3 numbers as JPX-10?

No. Thickness band, leveler kW, roll diameter, and speed differ. Name the tier on every answer.

Is auxiliary slitting on a simple CTL a full slitting line?

No. Auxiliary blades on a simple CTL do not reclassify the machine as a dedicated slitter or ZHJ combo.

Why do simple flat quotes disagree on decoiler tonnage?

Some BOM lines say about 5 t manual while another line says about 10 t hydraulic. Keep both as conflict; lock tonnage only in the signed proposal.

Does “aluminum” on the JPX-3 doc mean carbon steel is excluded?

That quote’s material column cites aluminum. Carbon steel or other grades need separate confirmation — do not silently reuse the aluminum note.

Final ratings follow the confirmed CTL tier proposal. Commercial quotes and lead time are out of scope.
