    Rainwater System Solution: Gutters, Elbows & Covers

    A rainwater shop is a gutter mill plus fittings. Volume K-style or half-round runs on a roll former. Long flashings run on an 8 m folder. Elbows, leaf-guard covers and reducer pairs are auxiliary machines. The example below is the K-style mill.

    gutter mill (example below)half-round mill (~3–8 m/min, ~5.5+3 kW, Φ50 on that quotation)22-stand Ø75 downpipe mill, 20 m/min, 7.5+5.5 kW on that quotation; combo 0.3–0.8 mm / 312 mm / 380 V / 60 Hz as its own quotation~2.2 kW, ~90° auxiliary on that quotation. Reducer pair is 0.45–0.5 mm, 380 V / 50 Hz on that quotation

    Who it's for

    Gutter contractors and building-product plants that sell K-style or half-round troughs, downpipes, elbows and leaf guards — and shops that fold long custom gutters instead of rolling them.

    Volume

    Roll the repeating profile

    K-style and half-round troughs are mill products.

    Long piece

    Fold when the job is custom

    An 8 m CNC folder is for long flashings, not the mill’s m/min.

    Fittings

    Elbows and covers are auxiliaries

    A 2.2 kW elbow bender is not the gutter host.

    How to choose a line

    1. Repeating K-style gutter from coil -> gutter mill (example below)
    2. 6″ half-round -> half-round mill (~3–8 m/min, ~5.5+3 kW, Φ50 on that quotation)
    3. Downpipe -> 22-stand Ø75 downpipe mill, 20 m/min, 7.5+5.5 kW on that quotation; combo 0.3–0.8 mm / 312 mm / 380 V / 60 Hz as its own quotation
    4. Elbows for downpipe -> ~2.2 kW, ~90° auxiliary on that quotation. Reducer pair is 0.45–0.5 mm, 380 V / 50 Hz on that quotation
    5. Leaf-guard / gutter cover -> 0.4–0.5 mm, 55 t punch, 13 stands 7.5 kW, ≥20 m/min, 240 V / 60 Hz on that quotation
    6. Long custom gutter or flashing -> 8 m CNC folder (~125°, steel ~1.5 mm, hyd ~7.5 / total ~8 kW, cycle ~12 s on that quotation)
    7. Box / square gutter -> send the drawing for a custom quotation
    8. Standing-seam or trapezoid roof sheet -> standing-seam or metal-roofing solution, a different family

    What's included

    Mill vs folder choice, one K-style example, elbow / cover / downpipe / reducer as matching rows, and a quote checklist.

    What to send for a quote

    1. K-style vs half-round vs box; coverage and lip drawing
    2. Whether volume is mill or long custom (folder)
    3. Downpipe OD and whether elbows / reducers ship as machines
    4. Leaf-guard: mesh opening and coating; 240 V / 60 Hz on the cover file
    5. Thickness window (cover 0.4–0.5 mm; reducer 0.45–0.5 mm)
    6. Site voltage / frequency
    7. Combo gutter+downpipe vs two hosts

    Check before you quote

    Folder

    Folder cycle is seconds

    The 8 m folder lists ~12 s per piece. Mill speed is m/min on the gutter quotation.

    Elbow

    Elbow is ~2.2 kW

    It bends downpipe. It is not the K-style host.

    Cover

    Cover mill is 240 V / 60 Hz

    55 t punch + 13 stands 7.5 kW live on that quotation.

    FAQ

    Is a gutter folding machine the same as a gutter mill?

    Volume repeating troughs run on the mill. Long custom flashings run on the 8 m folder. Send which jobs you sell in year one.

    Does the elbow machine make the gutter?

    The ~2.2 kW unit bends downpipe elbows. The trough comes from the mill or the folder.

    How are price and lead time quoted?

    Send the quote checklist. Commercial terms come back on the offer.
