    SIP Production Lines Explained

    17August 19, 2026
SIP (OSB + foam platen press) is not a continuous metal sandwich line. No SIP press cycle or kW is in this catalogue. Metal-skin insulation panels route to PU or EPS/rock-wool sandwich pages.

    1. What SIP means in construction

A structural insulated panel is usually two structural skins (often OSB) with a foam core, laminated in a platen press, then CNC-cut for openings. It is a wood/foam building product. Search engines also dump metal sandwich RFQs onto “SIP line.” Those are different factories: one is a batch wood press; the other is a continuous metal-skin sandwich mill.

    2. What we form instead

Continuous metal sandwich: two PPGI skins, PU foam in a double belt, or EPS/rock-wool composite with glue or PU-edge. Skins are roll-formed. Core is foam or mineral wool, not OSB. Sandwich ratings live on the thermal-insulation encyclopedia — double-belt PU best ~4 m/min / ~40 kW + optional heat; belt hard-foam ~2–6 / ≥35 kW; glue ~5 m/min / ~50 kW (short-table alternate about 0–4 m/min); 1220 mm dual 5 t / 220 V. Those sandwich numbers stay on sandwich inquiries.

LGS villa frame (MF-2500T: 19 stands, 22 kW servo, 0–35 m/min, 0.8–2.0 mm, web 89–250) makes a steel skeleton some SIP houses also use. It does not press OSB.

    3. What this catalogue does not list

No process-library SIP platen press: no ram force, no platen size, no cure cycle, no OSB thickness table. A press rating borrowed from another industry would be a merge. If you need that press, it is a wood-panel OEM conversation.

    4. How to inquire

    1. Skins: OSB vs metal PPGI
    2. Core: PU pour vs EPS block vs rock wool
    3. Continuous double-belt vs batch press
    4. If metal skins: send sandwich drawings (roof vs wall, lock, thickness), not the word “SIP”
    5. If OSB SIP: we route; sandwich kW and the villa LGS host do not become an OSB press quotation

    5. Buyer FAQ

Is a sandwich panel a SIP?

In loose sales talk, sometimes. In plant design, metal continuous sandwich ≠ OSB platen SIP.

Can the 19-stand 1220 mm line press OSB?

No. That line forms metal skins and laminates EPS/rock wool.

Can the villa LGS mill replace a SIP press?

No. MF-2500T rolls studs and tracks. It does not laminate OSB.

Boundary page. Sandwich kW stays on sandwich files. Villa LGS kW stays on the frame encyclopedia. An OSB press table is not published here.
