Fully Automatic Multi-Size Gutter Roll Forming Machine

The Fully Automatic Multi-Size Gutter Roll Forming Machine is a specialized roll forming solution designed for the continuous production of metal rain gutters and drainage profiles for residential and commercial roofing systems.

Developed according to a customized European project requirement, this machine is designed to produce three different gutter sizes — 100 mm, 125 mm, and 150 mm — with a quick-change forming system. Instead of requiring three separate roll forming machines, operators can switch between different profiles by replacing the corresponding forming sections.

The complete production line integrates automatic hydraulic decoiling, guiding, punching/notching, roll forming, hydraulic cutting, and product receiving, creating an efficient continuous production process from metal coil to finished gutter.

The machine is also designed with CE safety requirements and a full machine safety guard, making it suitable for export projects where safety and operational protection are important considerations. 

 

Complete Automatic Production Process

The production line follows an integrated workflow:

Automatic Decoiling → Guiding → Punching/Notching → Roll Forming → Fixed-Length Cutting → Receiving

This configuration allows the operator to continuously feed the coil and produce finished gutter sections with consistent profile geometry.

 2. One Machine for Three Gutter Sizes

One of the key advantages of this gutter roll forming machine is its multi-size production capability.

The machine is configured for:

100 mm gutter
125 mm gutter
150 mm gutter

The three profiles are changed through a quick-change forming system. The customer can use a forklift to replace the forming sections, with each quick-change section designed to weigh no more than approximately 1.5 tons according to the project specification.

3.  3-Ton Automatic Hydraulic Decoiler

The machine is equipped with a 3-ton vertical hydraulic decoiler designed for automatic coil loading and feeding.

According to the project specification, the decoiler is designed for:

The hydraulic decoiler reduces manual coil handling and provides stable material feeding to the forming section.

4. Integrated Film Lamination System

The forming section can be equipped with a protective film laminating device.

This system applies protective film to the metal surface during the production process, helping protect the finished gutter profile from scratches and surface damage during forming, handling, transportation, and installation.

5. Pre-Punching / Notching System

The production line incorporates an in-feed punching/notching system before the roll forming section.

This allows required openings or notches to be processed before the flat sheet enters the forming rollers.

Integrating the punching process into the production line reduces the need for secondary manual processing and helps maintain consistent positioning from one gutter section to another.

 

6.  20-Station Roll Forming System

The forming section uses a multi-pass roll forming structure designed to gradually transform the flat metal strip into the required gutter profile.

The project configuration specifies approximately 20 forming stations, with a middle-plate machine structure and double-chain transmission.

The forming rollers are manufactured from 45# steel, with heat treatment and precision machining, while the main shafts use 75 mm diameter 45# steel shafts with heat treatment for improved mechanical performance.

Bearings: HRB or WANXIANG brands.

7. Adjustable Production Speed

The machine's forming speed is designed for continuous production, with the technical proposal specifying a maximum speed of approximately 0–25 m/min, adjustable according to production requirements.

The adjustable speed allows operators to select an appropriate production rate according to:

8. Fixed-Length Hydraulic Cutting

Cutting Blades: Cr12 tool steel with hardening treatment, providing suitable wear resistance for repeated cutting operations.

After the gutter profile is formed, the machine automatically performs fixed-length cutting.

The project uses a stop-and-cut configuration, meaning the forming line stops when the preset length is reached and then performs the cutting operation.

The technical proposal specifies a minimum cutting length of approximately 100 mm and a maximum cutting length of approximately 6000 mm, with the customer also defining requirements for gutter straightness and width accuracy.

This makes the machine suitable for producing different gutter lengths according to individual project requirements.

 

9. Siemens PLC & Touch Screen Control

The control system is configured with industrial automation components, including: Siemens PLC , Siemens Touch Screen, Yaskawa Inverter, Schneider low-voltage electrical components

The control interface supports Chinese and English, making operation and parameter management easier for international customers.

The control cabinet uses a separate machine-tool-style configuration, while the portable control cabinet provides convenient access for machine operation according to the project specification.

10. CE Safety Protection

For the European market, machine safety is an important consideration.

This gutter production line is designed according to the project requirement for CE safety standards, with a full machine safety protection cover.

The transmission components, including chains and gears, are enclosed with protective covers to reduce the risk of accidental contact with moving parts during operation.
