Product Overview

The ZTRFM010 is a cold roll forming machine purpose-built for forming steel ridge caps (hat profiles) used at roof peaks and hips. It accepts pre-coated or galvanized steel coil and continuously forms the material through a series of calibrated roller stations until the finished ridge cap profile exits at the cut-off station.

The machine supports GI (galvanized iron) and PPGI (pre-painted galvanized iron) coil as raw material, making it compatible with the color-coated ridge cap specifications widely specified in the United States, Nigeria, Israel, and other export markets. The profile and cut length are fully adjustable; custom profiles can be accommodated based on customer drawings or physical samples.

1. High-Speed Continuous Forming

Forming speed reaches 15 m/min (49.21 ft/min), enabling continuous production without intermediate stacking stops. Suitable for both small batch orders and high-volume runs.

2. Precision Roller Set

8–14 forming passes ensure the ridge cap profile is built up incrementally, keeping cross-section distortion and spring-back to a minimum. Profile tolerance is held within ±0.5 mm across the full width.

3. PLC Touch-Screen Control System

The Omron-encoder-based length measurement and PLC control panel supports multi-language display and stores multiple parameter presets. Production count, cut length, and speed can all be set from the touch screen, reducing reliance on experienced operators.

4. Hydraulic Post-Cut System

A hydraulic shear cuts the formed profile to the programmed length automatically. The cut surface is clean and burr-free, removing the need for secondary deburring or trimming.

5. Durable Chrome-Plated Rollers

Forming rollers are CNC-machined from 45# steel and hard chrome plated to a surface hardness that resists wear from PPGI coatings and galvanized surfaces, reducing maintenance frequency and maintaining profile consistency over the machine's service life.

6. Round-Corner Edge Forming

The roller set is designed to curl the small side edges of the ridge cap into a rounded corner, improving the structural rigidity of the finished profile and reducing sharp-edge hazards during installation.

7. 3-Tonne Manual Decoiler Included

A 3-tonne capacity manual decoiler is supplied with the machine, providing stable coil feeding tension and accommodating the coil widths standard to ridge cap production.
