Buying a corner making machine often starts with specs, price, and configuration. But there is a more basic question. How does the line actually turn steel coil into finished profiles? If you don't know the answer, you won't know what should be included in the contract or what to check during acceptance.
This guide starts with what the line can produce, moves through specs and workflow, and ends with how material thickness affects die configuration.
This corner making machine can produce 5 different angle profiles by changing the punching, forming, and shearing dies.
Finished profiles are mainly used for:
Building corner protection and plasterboard edge reinforcement
Metal cladding trim
Partition wall and suspended ceiling systems
A drywall corner bead machine like this one handles profiles for plasterboard and partition wall applications. Different profiles vary in cross section shape, material thickness, and width. Your product shape determines the die configuration you need.

This metal corner forming machine is built as a complete line, not a single unit. The table below lists the key specs.
| Module | Parameter | Reference Value |
|---|---|---|
| Material and Product Range | Material type | Galvanized steel |
| Material thickness | 0.3–0.6 mm | |
| Max coil width | 300 mm | |
| Decoiler capacity | 3000 kg | |
| Coil inner diameter | 450–550 mm | |
| Production Capacity | Forming speed with punching | 0–15 m/min |
| Forming speed without punching | 0–40 m/min | |
| Punching speed | 0–50 times/min | |
| Profile changeover | 5 different angles | |
| Machine Configuration | Forming stations | 11 rollers |
| Roller material | Cr12MoV | |
| Shaft diameter | φ50 mm | |
| Decoiler feeding | With motor feeder | |
| Punch press type | Mechanical | |
| Main machine size | 4500×800×1400 mm | |
| Main machine weight | 3.0 tons | |
| Main drive power | 5.5 kW | |
| Hydraulic cutting power | 5.5 kW | |
| Power and Utility | Voltage and frequency | 480V 60Hz 3Phase |
Use this table to check three things. Is your material thickness within 0.3–0.6mm? Is your coil width within 300mm? Is your required profile count within the machine's changeover capacity?
A complete line includes five stations: decoiler, punch press, roll forming machine, hydraulic cutter, and receiving table. When you review a quote, confirm each of these is included, along with the dies for your target profiles.
The spec table lists each station's configuration. This section explains how the stations connect.

Decoiling
Steel coil sits on the decoiler. This corner making machine uses a motor feeder for active feeding.
Punching
The strip enters the punch press and gets holes at set positions. This station is optional. If your product doesn't need holes, you can skip it and the line runs faster.

Roll forming
The strip passes through multiple roller stations. Each station bends the material gradually until it reaches the L shaped cross section.

Cutting
The formed profile gets cut to length automatically. Hydraulic drive gives a clean cut.

Receiving
Finished profiles drop onto the receiving table.
The line runs continuously from coil loading to finished product collection.
Flexible profile changeover
The same corner making machine can run 5 different angle profiles by changing punching, forming, and shearing dies. You don't need separate machines for each profile.
Continuous stable production
Roll forming is a continuous process. The strip moves through each roller station without stopping, giving high efficiency and consistent dimensions.
Inline punching in one pass
Profiles that need holes come out fully finished in one run. No secondary operation needed.
Smoother feeding with motor feeder
Active feeding helps reduce the risk of strip tearing or slipping.

Material thickness directly affects die configuration. Different thicknesses need different roller gaps and dies.
Thin sheet has low springback but wrinkles easily. Roller gaps need to be more precise, and feeding tension needs to be more stable.
Forming force increases, which demands higher shaft diameter and frame rigidity. This thickness range also puts more demand on the roller material. The rollers on this corner making machine are Cr12MoV.

When changing dies, roller gaps need to be readjusted. Different thicknesses use different die parameters, so a test run is needed after each changeover.
This equipment covers 0.3–0.6mm. If your product thickness falls within this range, the die configuration can cover it. If your thickness range is wide, confirm with the supplier whether the dies support full range switching.
Whether you need a metal corner forming machine for thin sheet or a drywall corner bead machine for plasterboard profiles, matching the die setup to your material thickness is the key step. Use the spec table above to check your requirements against the machine's actual capacity before you move forward.
