The Zhongtuo Solar Panel L Purlin Roll Forming Machine is a high-speed automatic forming line for producing L-shaped (equal or unequal) angle steel profiles from GI, GL, PosMAC or pre-painted steel coil at up to 30 m/min. The machine forms flat strip progressively through approximately 9 roller stations into a precise 90-degree angle profile; leg dimensions are adjustable from 20 to 100 mm per leg (feeding width 39–199 mm). The finished profile is used as a structural purlin or mounting bracket in solar panel (photovoltaic) mounting systems, curtain wall frames, steel structure buildings and general angle-iron applications.

The machine is built on a rigid black-painted box-section base with a yellow forming bed rail and red-painted forming station housings. A blue motor-and-gearbox unit drives the roller stations; a separate blue hydraulic power unit operates the flying cut-off. A PLC control cabinet with touch screen is mounted at the infeed end of the machine.

Machine Structure

The infeed end carries a decoiler feed table and the PLC control cabinet. Strip enters the first roller station pair and is bent progressively through approximately 9 stations — each consisting of a red-housed upper and lower roll pair on a yellow rail — until the 90-degree leg angle is fully formed. At the exit, a hydraulic flying shear cuts each section to the programmed length. The hydraulic power unit sits separately at the exit end of the machine; the 9.5 kW motor and gearbox are mounted at the infeed side.

Applications

• Solar PV mounting structures. GI, GL and PosMAC L-angles serve as panel-row purlins, cross-members, roof attachments and ground-mount brackets in utility-scale and rooftop photovoltaic installations requiring corrosion-resistant profiles.
• Curtain wall and facade framing. Equal and unequal L-angles are used as angle stiffeners, clip brackets and sill reinforcements in glass curtain wall systems (compatible with 1.5" × 1.5" and other standard angle-stiffener specifications).
