The EPS Sandwich Panel Production Line is a continuous laminating line that bonds pre-formed colour steel (PPGI/PPGL) facing panels to an EPS or rock wool insulation core to produce finished roof and wall sandwich panels. The upper and lower face sheets are shaped in-line by a double-layer roll forming machine; the EPS or rock wool core slab is fed into the laminating unit from the infeed end; the assembly is compressed by a belt laminating press and cut to the programmed length by a flying-cut unit. The line operates at 5 m/min, processes face-sheet widths of 1220 mm, and accommodates core thicknesses of 50–250 mm.

The line is painted blue and consists of a coil decoiler station, a double-layer roll forming section, a conveyor and laminating table, a hydraulic pressing unit, a PLC electrical cabinet and a flying shear. An 11 kW motor drives the composite section; control is by a Delta or Siemens imported-brand PLC. Annual output capacity is 600,000 m².

Key Features

• EPS and rock wool core compatibility. The line accepts both EPS (expanded polystyrene) and rock wool slab cores, allowing production of thermal-insulating or fire-rated sandwich panels on the same equipment.
• Double-layer roll forming section. Upper and lower PPGI / PPGL face sheets are formed in-line by the integrated roll forming section; 16 driving stations with 45# chrome-plated rollers and 80 mm shafts provide consistent profile accuracy.
• Adjustable core thickness. The core thickness is adjustable from 50 mm to 250 mm by manual adjustment of the laminating unit, covering the full range of building envelope insulation requirements.
• PLC imported-brand control. A Delta or Siemens PLC controller manages line speed, cut length and piece count. The flying shear cuts panels to programmed length without stopping the line.
• High annual output. At 5 m/min continuous speed the line produces up to 600,000 m² of finished sandwich panel per year.
• Multiple voltage options. Available in 220 V, 380 V and 440 V to match local grid standards.
• CE certified. The production line ships with CE certification documentation, a machinery test report and a video outgoing-inspection record.

Production Line Structure

The line consists of the following main sections arranged in sequence: a coil decoiler station at each end for upper and lower face sheets; a double-layer roll forming section to form the PPGI/PPGL face profiles; a conveyor and laminating table with 16 driving stations; a hydraulic belt laminating press; a flying shear; and a finished-panel run-out table. The steel frame is painted blue throughout; the laminating press head is finished in red. The PLC cabinet is mounted beside the laminating section.

Applications & Sample Product

EPS sandwich panels produced on this line are used as roof and wall cladding panels for prefabricated buildings, modular housing, industrial warehouses, cold-storage facilities and agricultural structures. The panels provide thermal insulation, weather resistance and a finished colour steel exterior surface in a single composite element. Rock wool core panels offer enhanced fire resistance for applications requiring non-combustible cladding.
