The KR24 is a portable standing seam roll forming machine built for producing standing seam roof and wall panels directly at the job site. A single mobile unit carries the forming stations, the PLC control cabinet and the cutting section on caster wheels, so panels can be formed close to where they are installed instead of being transported as finished profiles.

The machine runs on a 5.5 kW motor with a forming speed of up to 30 m/min, accepts feed widths from 245 mm to 625 mm and works galvanized steel from 0.3 mm to 0.6 mm. An electric seaming machine and manual seaming tools are supplied together with the unit so that the standing seam can be closed immediately after forming.

Machine Structure

The forming section carries multiple roller stations in two parallel rows, driven by chains and sprockets. Roller pressure and panel width are set with the black adjustment bolts on the top plates and the handwheel on the side, so one machine can be reset to a different standing seam width between projects.

The discharge end combines the cutting section with the PLC control cabinet mounted on a swing arm. The panel profile is cut to length at the exit, and all operating parameters are entered on the touch screen. A caster-mounted base and the swing-arm control cabinet keep the unit manoeuvrable in confined site areas.

Applications

The KR24 is used for standing seam metal roofing and wall cladding on industrial buildings, warehouses, workshops and light steel structures. Because the machine is portable, it is also used for repair and extension work where the panels have to be formed close to the building envelope.
