A combined roll forming line that produces antique glazed step tile sheets, with a hydraulic step press for the deep stepped embossing and a hydraulic shear for cutting.

The line takes painted or galvanized coil, forms the stepped antique tile profile through the roll forming stations, then embosses the deep step in the hydraulic press before the finished sheet is cut to length by the hydraulic shear. The result is a metal roof sheet that reproduces the look of traditional glazed clay tiles while keeping the light weight and the long spans of a steel sheet.
The machine works in colored steel, PPGI, PPGL, GI and GL coil from 0.3 mm to 0.8 mm thick, with a feeding width of 1250 mm. The shafts are 45# steel at 80 mm outer diameter and the main frame is built from 350 mm / 400 mm H-beam, so the line holds the tile profile steady through both the forming and the pressing stage.
Antique Glazed Step Tile Profile
The tile produced by this line is the classic stepped antique wave profile used on pitched roofs, where each course steps up over the one below and the side edges overlap to shed water. The profile is set by the roll tooling and the press mould.
Hydraulic Step Press
A hydraulic press station embosses the deep step that gives the tile its three dimensional antique appearance. The press head carries four bolted die blocks on a yellow cross beam, guided by chrome pillars at both ends and driven by hydraulic cylinders, so the step depth is repeatable along the whole sheet.
Hydraulic Cutting And Pressing
The cutting type is hydraulic cutting and pressing, so the shear closes on the formed sheet to give a clean cut end without deforming the tile ribs or the step.
45# Steel Shafts Of 80 mm
The forming rollers run on 45# steel shafts of 80 mm outer diameter carried in bearing blocks along the bed, and the main frame is a 350 mm / 400 mm H-beam structure, which keeps the stations aligned under the forming load.
PLC Control And Language Options
The line is controlled by a PLC system, and the control box language is set to the customer request, so the operating screens and the parameter labels can be supplied in the language of the operators.
12 m/min Production Capacity
The line runs at a production capacity of 12 m/min (39.37 ft/min), which suits the takt time of a tile roof project where the sheets are formed to the batten spacing on site.
Accurate Tile Lengths
High accuracy is the key selling point listed for this machine. Because the sheet is formed, stepped and cut on one line, the tile pitch and the overall sheet length stay consistent from the first sheet to the last in the run.
Certification And Overseas Service
The machine is CE and ISO certified. A video outgoing inspection and a machinery test report are provided with the shipment, and the supplier provides engineers overseas for installation and commissioning.

The section drawing shows the tile geometry: an overall tile sheet width of 1100 mm, a tile pitch of 220 mm across the sheet and a course of 350 mm measured up the slope. The drawing also carries the small profile radii and depth callouts of the stepped wave (including R65, R20, 13.4, 8.8 and 4.7 mm), which are tooling data for the roll set rather than user settings.

The line is arranged along a blue welded bed: the coil is fed in at one end, formed through the roller stations, embossed in the hydraulic step press and cut by the hydraulic shear at the other end.

The hydraulic step press forms the deep step of the tile. Four die blocks are bolted to the yellow cross beam between chrome guide pillars, and the hydraulic cylinders above drive the head down onto the lower die where the formed sheet sits.

The same press station is used to hold the sheet while the hydraulic shear cuts it to length, which is why the cutting type is listed as hydraulic cutting and pressing.

The finished sheet comes off the line with the stepped antique tile surface already embossed, in the colour of the coil used. Adjacent sheets overlap along the folded side edge, which is the joint that keeps the roof watertight.

The sheets are used for the pitched roofs of residential and commercial buildings that need the appearance of traditional glazed tile roofing with the weight and speed of a steel sheet.

What does the machine produce?
Metal glazed step tile roof sheets in the classic antique stepped wave profile, with the tile pitch and the deep step embossed on the line.
What material and thickness can it run?
