Automatic C/Z Interchangeable Purlin Roll Forming Machine

Automatic C/Z interchangeable purlin line. One host runs C purlins and Z purlins — one section at a time: web 80–300 mm, flange 40–80 mm, lip 10–25 mm, strip 1.5–3.0 mm, 18–20 forming stands, three hydraulic punch dies, changeover 1–3 minutes between sizes and 5–10 minutes from C to Z. • ● C and Z purlins from one host — one section at a time. The line runs C, or it runs Z; it never forms both together. To change section, the operator selects the new recipe on the touch screen and the line sets itself; no roll set is dismantled.
• ● Section range web 80–300 mm, flange 40–80 mm, lip 10–25 mm, in strip 1.5–3.0 mm — hot-rolled, cold-rolled or galvanized, in Q235, Q355 or G550.
• ● 18–20 forming stands on a Ø85–Ø95 mm 40Cr shaft, distribution gearbox or heavy-duty chain drive, 8–25 m/min.
• ● Three hydraulic punch dies work on the flat strip ahead of the forming stands, so the hole pattern keeps a flat datum.

• ● A dedicated C machine. A fixed C build is a different host — simpler and geared to one section. It is quoted separately.
• ● A dedicated Z machine. A fixed Z build has its own lap geometry and its own flip-cut arrangement. It is not this line, and this line is not a Z machine with a C photograph.
• ● A purlin mill for stud, track or light-gauge framing. Light-gauge CU stud and drywall framing run far thinner strip with a different punch pattern; they are a different product family, not a purlin with another setting.
• ● Sigma, hat and omega sections. Those flower patterns are not C/Z lips.
• ● I purlins, which in most inquiries mean a hot-rolled beam rather than a roll formed cold section.
• ● Automatic bundling and stacking; the 10 t automatic coil car. These are options, below.
• ● Sea freight, customs clearance, port charges and site foundation work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it run C and Z at the same time?
No. The line makes one section at a time — a run of C, then a run of Z, or the reverse. Changing from one section to the other is a changeover that takes 5–10 minutes, and the line is not producing during it. Plan the C and the Z jobs in batches so the changeover is not repeated for every order.

Is this the same machine as a dedicated C purlin line?
No. A dedicated C line is a different host, quoted separately and usually simpler for a plant that only ever runs C. This line is the interchangeable build.

Is this the same machine as a dedicated Z purlin line?
No. A dedicated Z machine has its own lap geometry and a flip-cut arrangement. On this line the C to Z change is a machine changeover, not a second machine.

Can it make light-gauge stud and track?
No. Drywall stud and track run far thinner strip with a different punch pattern and are a different product family. Do not compare the two on thickness alone.

Is punching included?
Three hydraulic punch dies are part of the standard build. The hole pattern itself follows your drawing — send the hole map so the dies can be matched.

How fast does it run?
8–25 m/min along the line, and about 10–18 m/min in production with punching running. Work your output from the purlin length you sell, not from the line speed alone.

What thickness can it run?
1.5–3.0 mm, with 2.0–2.5 mm being the common working band. Confirm the grade and the thickness window on the inquiry, because the roll flower is set for the range you sign for.

What voltage does it need?
Confirm the voltage and frequency at your plant on the inquiry. This class has been supplied at different voltages in different markets and nothing is copied from another order.
